Race Overview

Race #3 of the Honor our Heroes 5K & 10K run series is dedicated to the children and families who have battle Childhood Cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. On Race day, we will be honoring and celebrating families and their children who have battled through a childhood cancer. As one of the largest medical causations of death to juveniles, these brave young boys and girls battle for their life and are an inspiration to all of us. On race day we will honor these children and families with a ceremonial start to the event and special guest honorees. If you would like to recommend an honoree please email me, andrew@racebreakthrough.com, with the Name of the child, family members and description of why they should be an honoree.

5% of all registration fees will go to Childhood Cancer Research through Children's Hospital Milwaukee. Within registration you can designate an addition donation if you wish.

Technically since February of 2022. However, it has been a family business since 2006! My father, Cole Braun, started Great Lakes Multisport (GLM) and RACC. During that time I was a crewmen setting courses and managing equipment. Later the company was sold to my younger brother, Craig Braun. He rebranded to Lighthouse Events.

After a few short years away my wife, Karly, and I felt like it was time to restart the family business. So we do claim all those years even though the operating name was different. We have been and always will host events By racers - For Racers!
